Overseer Paul M. Wilson, II was born on January 17, 1984, in Norfolk, Virginia, to Paul M. Wilson, Sr. and E. J. Pope. He is the oldest of three children and, from an early age, demonstrated a profound passion for teaching and learning. Whether instructing an imaginary classroom of stuffed animals or organizing a makeshift school in his family’s living room, it was evident that education and leadership were part of his God-given design.

A committed and disciplined student, Overseer Wilson graduated from high school as the fourth-ranked Norview Pilot in the Class of 2002 and earned a full scholarship to Old Dominion University. He matriculated from Old Dominion University with high honors in May 2007 and began his professional career that same year as a science instructor at Granby High School, where he served for five years. He later taught at Woodrow Wilson High School for four years and was recognized as the 2015 Portsmouth City Schools Teacher of the Year and the Region II Commonwealth of Virginia runner-up.

Overseer Wilson has earned multiple advanced degrees, including a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education, where he graduated as a dean’s perfect scholar, and a Master of Science degree in Biology from Clemson University. He is currently pursuing an Executive Doctor of Philosophy degree in Educational Leadership at Old Dominion University. His educational leadership journey includes service as an assistant principal, elementary principal, and middle school principal within Portsmouth Public Schools. He currently serves as the Director of Student Support Services for Chesapeake Public Schools.

In June 2009, Overseer Wilson married the love of his life, Dr. Kristen A. V. Wilson, after over nine years of courtship. They are the proud parents of their son, Paul M. Wilson, III, born in June 2019. Together, they faithfully serve at Endtime United Church, where Overseer Wilson has served as Senior Pastor since October 2017, following the leadership of Pastor-Emeritus Joyce Washington. He also serves as Overseer of the Fourth Episcopal Diocese of the United Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic under the leadership of Diocesan Bishop Ann Dockery.

Overseer Wilson’s passion is the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. He firmly believes that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. While humbly submitted to the Master’s service, he boldly declares the greatness of God. He is unapologetically saved, sanctified, filled with the Holy Ghost, and committed to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ with power, purpose, and conviction.
